Thesis- Contemporary Rwanda

The Rwandan Genocide of 1994 led to many negative effects on Rwanda's society but it has also led to many positive effects politically, socially, and economically on Rwanda's contemporary society.

  1. The thesis addresses the first part of the essay well, but it does not address the news analysis or the solution to the problem. Try dividing the thesis into three parts divided by semicolons to make sure the thesis addresses all parts of the essay. That said, what you have so far is good as far as content. However, there should be a comma before the word "but."

  2. This thesis is relatively short and only addresses the first part of the paper. Try to also list the positive social, political, and economic effects so this thesis clearly outlines what you are talking about besides having the reader guessing. Again, semicolons word very nicely when addressing a large thesis so try and incorporate some of those when you are including the other parts of your paper.

  3. Expand your thesis to address the news analysis and recommendations for international action (or inaction).
