HQ- Boko Haram
How have the actions of Boko Haram socially and politically affected Nigeria. Why is it of international concern?
This question could use some rewording for the second half of the question because it doesn't flow extremely well. Also, I feel like this is way too broad of a topic. For example, which African countries exactly do you want to focus on because all of them is extremely broad, and for your global effects of Boko Haram, the question is good but remember to only address a few countries so your not rambling on and on about small picture stuff. I would also consider the economic factors of Boko Haram, and maybe researching a small background of who they are so you can understand this group. You could even do well with some historical factors relating to Boko Haram if they are available. Overall, I can see what you're trying to get at, just try and straighten it up a bit, make it more clear.
I feel like this question is very broad, so you may want to make it a little more specific so it can fit in a 6-8 page paper. Mention specific countries that you will focus most of your research on to narrow down your topic. You could also discuss this group's rise to power in Africa as well as the factors that keep it in power as part of you historical analysis.
In light of recent developments, this is a very timely topic. Make sure that you address one of the course themes in your research/argument. Also, it will be useful to identify the time period and place (Nigeria?) under investigation. You can then extend your question to consider how the local issues can result in global impact.
