Why is the civil war of global concern and what are outside forces doing to help end it?

This question can be addressed in the time and space allowed. 3. You can consider the historical context of the Syrian Civil War, like how it started and how surrounding countries have influenced it or suffered because of it. I am sure that there are many organizations and countries that are trying to stop it, so researching that should be easy.
1. Be more specific when using the word "the" you have more than enough space to write the full name. 2. Who do you mean by outside forces? Neighbors? Global allies? 3. What do you mean by "end it"? Who are they supporting? In what way is support being sent?
Make sure you specify "Syria" in your question. Also, focus your question to address social, political, or economic factors. Finally, be sure your question specifically addresses one of the themes from class discussion.
