HQ - Hong Kong Protests
What implications do the protests in Hong Kong have for China and other single party states throughout the world?
1. If "implications" in this case means consequences, consider changing "have for" to "have on." 2. This question might be able to be answered in the time and space provided, "single party states" seems a bit too specific. 3. You can look up how these protests have affected China's communist leadership, but there are not many other single party states, only 7 presently. You might want to consider making your question more general if you cannot find enough information/
I think the question is grammatically correct, but I would consider how you want to answer question. You can either explain how the implications affect China and other single party states or the effect of the protests throughout the world. This question could be answered in the time given, but I agree with Shannon that it might be too specific which will not have made it to the 6-8 pages.
Be sure to delve into the conditions that spurred the protests. Also, consider how this issue ties into course themes. For example, are the protests a form of nationalism? ...a rejection of authoritarian rule?
