Thesis - Russia-Ukraine Conflict

The contemporary crisis between Russia and Ukraine is, to a great extent, reflective of the geo-political and socio-historical events and conflicts that have occurred between the two countries throughout the Modern Era; Countless media outlets portray Russia as the aggressor in the present day situation, and most aim to create sympathy when addressing Ukraine even though many of the hostilities stem from pro-separatist Ukrainian’s themselves; The world needs to take action to create peace in Ukraine by facilitating negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, and by assisting the general public in receiving and understanding information regarding the conflict, which will allow the public to appropriately voice its concerns without introducing violence.

  1. I think that you have a lot of strong points in your thesis to build off of in your paper. This is a strong thesis that will be easy to stay on topic.

  2. This is a really good thesis that thoroughly addresses all three parts of the essay. The content of the thesis is strong and will be easy to write a 4-6 page paper on. However, there are minor grammar issues, such as the apostrophe at the end of Ukrainians in the second part of the thesis. In addition, there should not be a comma before "and" in the third part of the thesis. Finally, adding transitions between the three parts would help the flow of the thesis. Overall, this is a really good thesis.

  3. You have a good start here but need to condense your ideas into fewer words. For example, for your first clause, you may want to say something like "Current hostilities between Russia and Ukraine stem from socio-historical differences and earlier geo-political tensions..."
